WGI and Delta Air Lines Inspire Young Readers — and Future Aviators

For the past few weeks in Atlanta, something truly special has been taking place.

In partnership with WGI, Delta Air Lines pilots traded the cockpit for the classroom. They brought with them a love of reading and a passion for the skies.

Students listened intently as the pilots read aloud from aviation-themed books that whisked them off to new worlds. Between the pages the pilots talked about what it’s like to fly an aircraft, the teamwork it takes to run a flight, and the adventures waiting high above the clouds.

Every student went home with their own pair of Delta wings and an official Delta trading card — small keepsakes to remind them that their dreams can carry them anywhere.

This partnership has been a powerful reminder that some of life’s greatest journeys begin with a single book. And when young people meet role models who have turned their own dreams into reality, those possibilities feel even closer.
